One Book December

Tuesday, December 8, 2015

I recently discovered through Carie Harling that a Facebook group started One Book December. It originally started with One Book July but sadly I didn't hear about it till a few months ago. When I heard One Book December was going to form I got really excited and thought I would give it a try.

The basic concept of One Book July was 1 book, 1 pen, 1 month which was created by Rhomany, Carie & Miss VickyB. You can find more detailed information on the following links below:
For One Book December you have the same concept but for planning / journaling it will be based around the Holiday Season. Rhomany has included Creative prompts for you to use in your journal and weekly planning prompts. The weekly planner prompts are designed to help you plan out your Holiday season so you aren't stuck a week before Christmas and wondering, "What do I need to still do?"

Here are a few examples from the Creative prompts you can use:
  • Write a story about Rudolph's cousin who likes to sing.
  • Santa got your letter and he wrote back! What did he say?
  • The practice flight didn't go quite as planned & Rudolph ended up crashing at your house for the night! What's it like having a reindeer come and stay?
She includes 27 so you can answer them however you wish or as many as you choose. A fun idea I did was print them out, cut them up, then place them in a cute jar. Then grab a random one out of the jar and glue it down to a page in your journal.

The reason I'm doing One Book December is because I love the "idea" of keeping a journal but I never follow through. I know others in the planner community are doing One book July or One book December because they have to many journals / planners they use at once. Breaking it down to the bare bones of planning in one planner is what most are wanting to accomplish.

Currently at this time I mostly only use my Happy Planner but I don't currently have a journal. I thought what better way to start than with One Book December - Holiday edition. I can organize and plan out my holiday season while trying out some journaling and attempting a few doodles here and there :)

If it sounds like something you are interested in, then I would differently check out the Facebook groups, links and google One Book July in YouTube.

Stay tune because I will be updating with my week reviews. =o)

Free Thanksgiving Meal Planner in 8.5 x 11

Saturday, November 14, 2015

Hey Everyone :)

Thanksgiving is in less than 2 weeks. Currently the weather here in Kansas is warmer than normal so I'm having a hard time wrapping around my head that it's Thanksgiving soon. Luckily I have my many calendars to double check on ;)

As you can see below, I have a 3 page printable for all your Thanksgiving needs.

First page is your actual meal planner. I broke the sections into 6 different groups for easy listing of your Thanksgiving items. You could easily print this and leave it on the table as a menu for your dinner guests :)

Second page is your shopping list. It contains 36 boxes with a check box so you can ensure you are getting all your thanksgiving staples before the big day.

Final page is your cooking schedule. I have broke it down for you from the 5:00 a.m. up till 9:00 p.m. I have also included a side box to the right for any notes or items you need to write down that you don't want to forget.

I have only one size in this printable for you today since Thanksgiving is so close. It's printed on standard 8 1/2 x 11. You can print it and put it on your refrigerator or clip it on your clip board and carry it around the house with you. Whatever you wish. Please Enjoy :)

Free 2015 Black Friday Shopping List Printable in 5 sizes

Tuesday, November 10, 2015

It's almost that time of the year again. Belly's full of turkey and stuffing while you sit on the couch surfing the newspaper ads. Although those we're the good days. Now more stores are open before you even begin to cook your turkey. I have noticed that several stores are getting back to "Black Friday" which is the way I believe personally we should enjoy.

Once again I have created a very basic Black Friday Shopping List for your shopping needs. As you know I prefer to save the color ink for more important printables so this one is in again done in grey scale.

Whether you use a Filofax, Kate Spade, Kikki-k, Franklin Covey or a manila folder I have a printable for you :)

After I uploaded everything to my google drive account I noticed that if you print from google drive it changes the size settings :( I think I have figured out how to fix that. Please see the screen shot below. Once the file is open and BEFORE YOU PRINT please uncheck  the box where it says Fit to page. By doing this it will print out in the correct size.

Now you may continue =)

Please click the photo for the link

I have so much more to come so please stay tune!

Because of all the wonderful planner community friends out there I am happy to announce I am giving away one Color Crush personal planner in light pink with the matching craftmate folio. How cool is that?! Without the planner community I wouldn't be where I am today. I also wanted to thank everyone who has stuck around with me while I wasn't posting for a while during my sick time.

For those new to Color Crush Planners there are many different wonderful sites to learn about them. The official website is Websters Pages. These planners are very beautiful. The binders are made of a PU Leather which is also known as a bi-cast leather. They are not genuine leather nor do they contain any animal products.  Insert sizes are 3.75 x 6.75 which are a pinch different that Filofax personal size. Those insert sizes are 3.7 x 6.7. They come with a beautiful set of inserts themselves. To see details on the specific inserts please click the Webster link above.

Filofax Checkbook Register Now Available in Pocket Size!!

    Monday, March 9, 2015

It's finally here!!!! Granted I have been sick for the last 14 months (Not anymore I had gallbladder surgery) but I have finally figured out how to create my number one etsy item in pocket size! It really shouldn't be that hard but for some reason I really struggled. I think it's because I have no clue what I'm doing and I've been teaching myself everything. :)

Pocket size comes in 3.2 x 4.7 and is very tiny. Not as tiny as the mini Filofax size which is 2.63 x 4.13 but still very hard to write with. I know lots of friends in the planner community whom love pocket size and I've also had many requests for this to be available.

When you do go to print (photo to the right) The front of the printable prints out to the right, while the back prints out to the left. This means that when you are done with one page you may have to flip your planner around so you can write properly. This is the only way I could get it to print out.

I would now like to take this time to thank everyone out there who has requested this item and waited patiently!  As a thank you have I have created a coupon code that you can use for 10% anything in my store. When you go to checkout just enter saintpattysday in the coupon code field.
I currently only have 11 items but I have so many more items in the works. The coupon is good until March 15th 2015.

Click my buddy down here to be directed to my etsy shop :)

If you have any requests you would like to see please feel free to email me.

    Until next time,
